I have made this koogle for the past two weeks and it is yummy cold or hot. Reminds me of an apple pie! The original recipe is from Spice and Spirit, I adapted it a bit to my liking.

Shabbos Koogle

  • 16 ozs noodles (I used medium width)
  • 4 eggs (can use 5 if mixture doesn't feel right!)
  • 1/2 Cup raisins
  • 3 apples sliced fine (I use a combination of whatever types I have)
  • 1 can crushed pineapple (do not drain) - 16 oz
  • 1 to 2 tsp cinnamon (or more if desired)
  • A dash or two of nutmeg
  • 1/3 to 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1/4 Cup oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  •
Cook and drain noodles. In a bowl combine all ingredients except noodles. Mix well with a fork. Add noodles, combining until noodles are well coated with mixture. Pour into 13 x 9 inch baking dish. (I coat the dish with Wesson spray first). Bake in a 325 degree oven for about 45 mins to 1 hour. Check part way through to make sure the top noodles are not over-browned. If they are getting dark, lay a sheet of aluminum foil over the top.

This is very delicious!
