Quick Italian Sausage Bake

I used to think commercial spaghetti sauce was not worth cheating as a cook, but over the last several years, their quality has significantly improved. I developed this recipe to combine the best Italian flavors of pasta, sauce and meat, and have a delicious meal on the table in just a few minutes.
  • 1 pound fully cooked mild Italian sausage, pork, chicken or turkey, thinly sliced
  • 1 pound fresh ravioli
  • Pam
  • 1 26-ounce jar prepared spaghetti sauce, heated
  • 3/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Prepared garlic bread
  • Garden salad

Preheat oven according to package directions on garlic bread.

Heat sliced sausage in microwave 3 minutes.

While that is cooking, prepare ravioli according to package directions.

Drain and combine with sausage in ovenproof microwaveable 4-quart casserole sprayed with Pam.

Pour heated spaghetti sauce over and toss to coat meat and pasta.

Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

Microwave on high 12 minutes.

While this is cooking, heat the garlic bread according to package directions.

When casserole is heated through, transfer to broiler and broil on low 5 minutes till cheese is brown and bubbly.

Serve immediately with garlic bread and garden salad.

Serves 4.
