Mountain Maple Poppy Dressing

4 cups mayonnaise
3/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup red wine (burgundy)
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons poppy seeds

In a large container with a tight-fitting lid, combine all the ingredients, and mix thoroughly.

Yields: 1/2 gallon.
