Chocolate Zucchini Brownies

2 - 2 1/2 cups grated zucchini
1/2 cup ripe mushed banana
1 T water
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup cocoa powder
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup good quality chocolate chips


Mix together zucchini, banana, water, egg, and vanilla. In another bowl, mix together remaining ingredients. Fold dry ingredients into wet, batter will be stiff.

While putting batter into pan, sprinkle on chocolate chips and with the back of a spoon or spatula press chocolate chips slightly into batter. Bake in nonstick oblong brownie pan (7x13 or so) at 325º, 25-30 minutes till toothpick comes out. Cool. Sprinkle top with confectioners sugar. Cut into squares and serve.
