Creamed Onions and Peas

1 1/2 cp pearl onions
1 3/4 cp fresh peas
1 cp low fat milk
1 Tblsp cornstarch
1 Tbsp margarine
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground pepper


Prepare vegetables (peal onions and shell peas). Combine them in a large saucepan and just cover with water. Boil, cook until tender (about 10 min). Drain; put in serving dish.

In saucepan add milk, cornstarch, margarine, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. When thickened, add peas and onions to sauce, toss until well coated. Serve immediately.
