Hearty Cabbage Soup 
1 medium to large head cabbage, chopped or shredded 
1 (16 oz.) large can sauerkraut, undrained 
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 
3/4 cup dark brown sugar 
1 Tbsp. salt (or to taste) 
6 cups water 
1 lb. flanken or stew meat, cut into chunks 
Mix all ingredients; bring to boil. Reduce to a simmer for 2 hours.
