Broccoli-Pasta Soup 
3/4 c. chopped onion 
2 tbsp oil or butter 
6 c. chicken broth  
8 oz. fine noodles. 
2 (10 oz. each) packages frozen, chopped broccoli 
1/2 tsp. garlic powder 
6 c. skim milk 
1 lb. light Velveeta cheese, cubed 
Saute onion in oil.  Add broth; bring to a boil.  Add noodles; boil 3 minutes.  Add broccoli and garlic powder and boil 4 minutes.  Add milk and cheese.Heat until cheese is melted. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve. 
Soup also freezes well
