White Sauce/Cheese Sauce
2 tablespoons shortening
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup - 1 cup cheese -- (or 5 slices)

Melt shortening; stir in flour. Add milk slowly and then salt.

For cheese sauce add cheese to the white sauce and melt. Cook till thickened.
