  Colorful Pea Salad

  2 medium carrots -- chopped 
  1 (16 oz.) package frozen peas 
  1 rib celery -- thinly sliced 
  1/4 cup cubed low-fat mozzarella cheese 
  2 green onions -- thinly sliced 
  3 tablespoons buttermilk 
  1 tablespoon plain nonfat yogurt 
  1 1/2 teaspoons fat-free mayonnaise 
  1/2 teaspoon cider or red wine vinegar 
  1/2 to 1 teaspoon dried basil 
  1/4 teaspoon sugar 
  1/8 teaspoon pepper 
  In a saucepan, cook carrots in a small amount of boiling water for 2 minutes.  Add peas; cook 5 minutes longer.  Drain; rinse in cold water and drain again. 
Place in a bowl; add celery, cheese and onions.  Combine remaining ingredients; pour over pea mixture and toss to coat.  Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
