Penne Pesto Salad 
1 pound Penne Pasta 
3 cups ham, cut in 1x1/4 inch strips 
3 cups Swiss Cheese, cut in 1x1/4 inch strips 
1/2 cup green onion, sliced 
2 cups loosely packed fresh Basil leaves 
1/2 cup pine nuts or walnuts 
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese 
3 cloves garlic, peeled 
3/4 cup olive oil 
1/2 cup white wine vineger 
Salt and Pepper 
Cook the Penne Pasta in boiling salted water until tender. Drain and rinse with cold water. Drain well.  
In a food processor place, basil, nuts, Parmesan cheese, garlic and oil; process until smooth and blended. 
Place basil ingredients (pesto), vinegar, salt and pepper in a small bowl and blend. Place penne pasta, ham, Swiss cheese and green onions in a large bowl. Cover with pesto dressing and toss well. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or over night so flavors blend.
