Trash Bag Taco Salad
1 1/4 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 cup onions
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
1 (16 oz.) can canned kidney beans
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 head iceberg lettuce
2 tomatoes
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 (16 oz.) can black olives
1/2 cup salsa
16 ounces Catalina salad dressing
Brown ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet. Drain grease. Stir in taco seasoning, chili powder, garlic powder and drained kidney beans. Cool.
Shred (or slice thin) lettuce in a large bowl. Add 2 large tomatoes chopped, cheese, olives and salsa (optional). Stir in cooled beef mixture. Dump into a small trash bag and tie a knot to keep air out. Chill.
Just before serving pour in salad dressing and toss bag to coat all ingredients.
