Arz's Chicken Shawarma

6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground white pepper
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup white vinegar
1 tsp freshly grated nutmeg

Wash and pat chicken dry. Slice.

Mix all marinade ingredients in a glass bowl. Add chicken and marinate 4 to 5 hours, or overnight, in the refrigerator. Spread chicken and marinade in a casserole dish. Bake at 400 about 40 minutes, or until cooked.

5 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium potato, cooked
1 cup mayonnaise
olive oil

Mash garlic with the potato. Add the mayo. Add enough olive oil to achieve the consistency of a thick sauce.

For the sandwich:
6 pitas
2 tomatoes, sliced or diced
lettuce, shredded
Spanish onion, sliced
6 dill pickles, quartered and diced
1 cup chopped parsley

Steam or heat pita. Spread with a thick layer of mayonnaise sauce, cooked chicken and garnishes. Roll and serve. Enjoy.

PS: if you can find pickled turnips use them in place of the dills (Arz's uses the turnips).
