1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 (28 oz.) or 2 (16 oz.) cans of Bush's baked beans (no substitute), drained, reserving liquid for glaze
1/2 cup ketchup
1 medium onion, diced
1 egg, beaten
1 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1 Tbl. parsley flakes
2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Basting Sauce: Drain Bush's baked beans, and reserve liquid. Add ketchup to liquid and set aside.

In a large bowl, combined drained beans with the remaining ingredients except basting sauce. Mix well. Shape into a a 9x5x3 load on a shallow baking dish.

Baste meat loaf with 1/3 of the basting sauce. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until done. Pour remaining sauce over loaf 5 minutes before removing from oven. Makes 6 servings.
