Take 6 large potatoes,peel and then boil as for mashed Potatoes. One large head of green cabbage quartered and boiled or steamed in small amount of water. Mash potatoes seasoning to your taste. Drain cabbage season this also I use butter and a little heavy cream. Gently fold the cabbage into the mashed potatos so it does not get all broken down. Serve with abutter sauce or good gravy on the side.
