Citrus Crunch Salad

1 (16 oz. can) grapefruit sections - or equivalent fresh grapefruit sections (2 cups)
3 ounce pkg. lemon flavored gelatin
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 (11 oz. can) mandarin orange sections, well drained


Drain grapefruit sections, reserve syrup/juice. Add water to syrup to make one cup liquid. Heat to a boil and dissolve gelatin thoroughly in it. Cool.

Add buttermilk to cooled gelatin. Fold in drained fruits, nuts and celery. Spoon into individual molds or a 1 quart mold. Chill until set.
