Vegetable Lynn's Potatoes

Lynn’s Potatoes

4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
1 can cream of celery soup
1/3 cup milk
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 small onion, thinly sliced (approximate)
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Butter or margarine


Preheat oven to 350 F. Butter a casserole dish. Mix the soup, milk, and pepper together.

Layer 1/2 of the potatoes, 1/2 of the onion, slightly less than 1/2 of the soup mixture, and 1/2 of the cheese. Next, layer a few dots of butter.

Then, layer the rest of the potatoes, onion, soup mixture, and cheese. Cover with additional dots of butter (you don't need to use a lot of butter or margarine).

Bake 1 hour, covered, and 15 minutes, uncovered.
