Vegetable Green Bean Parmesan

Green Bean Parmesan

18 oz Frozen green beans french cut
milk
1/4 cup chopped onions
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
5 oz water chestnuts (optional)
3/4 cup bread crumbs

Cook beans, reserving liquid. Add milk to reserved liquid to make 1 1/4 cup. Set aside. In saucepan cook onion in 2tbs. butter till tender.

Blend in flour and salt. Stirl in milk mixture all at once, cook and stir till thickened. Stir in half parmesan cheese. Stir in beans and water chestnuts, turn into a quart casserole dish. toss bread crumbs with remaining parmesan and sprinkle on top of casserole.

Bake uncovered at 350 until bubbly about 20 to 30 minutes.
