Poultry Turkey Company Casserole by Sandy

1 1/2 lbs. ground turkey
1/3 C chopped onion
1/3 C chopped green pepper
16 oz. tomato sauce, (I also have used tomato soup)
salt and pepper to taste
8 oz. cooked egg noodles
8 oz. light cream cheese
1 C cottage cheese, also low fat
1/2 c plain yogurt or lowfat sour cream

In a large skillet cook meat, onions and peppers until meat is done and veggies are tender. Drain off all the liquid, then stir in the tomato base, salt and pepper.

Cook the noodles, if already done, set aside. In a small bowl mix all cheese together until smooth. When noodles are done add the cheese mixture to hot noodles.

In a 9"x13" casserole dish, layer the noodle mixture, need the meat mixture, ending with a layer of noodles.

Cover and bake at 375F for 30 min., uncover, add fried onion rings, cracker crumbs or topping of your choice and continue
cooking for another 10-15 min. until bubbly.

Let sit for 10 minutes for easier serving.
