Pork Smoked Sausage and Sauerkraut

Smoked Sausage Casserole
Preheat oven 350

1 lb. smoked sausage, sliced 1/2" thick
4 cooking apples, cored and sliced
1 tsp. caraway seed
1 pkg. 16oz. sauerkraut
2 Tbls. brown sugar
3 Tbls. bacon drippings

In a buttered casserole place a layer of sausage; top sausage with half of the apples. Add caraway seed to
sauerkraut and spread over apples. Top sauerkraut with remaining sausage and apples; sprinkle on brown sugar.
Pour bacon drippings over apples. Bake 40 minutes.
