Cake Gooey Butter

GOOEY BUTTER CAKE:

CRUST:
1 (18.5 OZ) PACKAGE YELLOW CAKE MIX
1/2 CUP BUTTER, SOFTENED
1 EGG, BEATEN

FILLING: 1 (8 OZ) PACKAGE CREAM CHEES, SOFTENED
2 CUPS POWDERED SUGAR
1 TEASPOON VANILLA
2 EGGS

TOPPING:
1 1/2 CUPS CHERRY PIE FILLING (OR BLUEBERRY)

1. HEAT OVEN TO 350F. BUTTER 13X9 INCH PAN. IN LARGE BOWL, MIX CRUST INGREDIENTS UNTIL WELL COMBINED. PRESS IN BOTTOM OF PAN.

2. IN SMALL BOWL, COMBINE FILLING INGREDIENTS UNTIL SMOOTH AND CREAMY. POUR OVER CRUST.

3. BAKE AT 350F. FOR 30 TO 35 MINUTES OR UNTIL LIGHTLY BROWNED. SERVE WARM OR COOL. CUT INTO SQUARES; TOP WITH PIE FILLING.
