Scones: Sweet Biscuits

Scones - Sweet Biscuits [self-rising/raising flour]

1 oz. butter
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup milk and water
2 cups self raising flour

Preheat oven to 420 degree F. Oil baking tray.

Sift flour, sugar and salt together. Rub butter into dry ingredients until it resembles bread-crumbs. Pour in liquid and mix to soft, not sticky, dough.

Sprinkle benchtop with flour, remove dough and pat down gently. Cut shapes as required. Place on tray and brush with milk Bake 10 - 12minutes until done. Remove from tray and cool on rack {wrap in clean tea towel while hot.}
