Sticky Buns

1 package dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter softened
1 egg, room temperature
3 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup butter melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon corn syrup
2/3 cup pecans
butter softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar, salt, 2 tbls. butter and egg. Beat on low speed with electric mixer until well blended. Stir in flour. Add a little more if dough is sticky to handle. Place in a grease bowl and refrigerate overnight or up to 5 days.

Mix together melted butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and pecans or walnuts. Pour into a greased 13"x9"x2" pan. Roll dough out to a 15"x9" rectangle. Spread with softened butter.

Mix together sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle over dough. Roll up as for a jelly roll. Slice into 9, 1" slices. Place in pan on top of nut mixture, spacing evenly. Cover with a damp cloth. Let rise, in a
warm place 1 1/2 hours.

Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350° F. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes. Immediately invert onto a serving tray. Or lay a dish towel onto the counter, cover with foil and invert rolls.
