Quick Bread: Herbed Beer Bread

Herbed Beer Bread

1 can beer, room temperature
1 tsp. butter, melted
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
Pinch of dried dill weed
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. thyme
2 tbsp. white sugar
1 tsp. salt

Bread Mix: In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, oregano, thyme and dill weed. (Pack into air tight container or bag. Mix keeps one month.)

To make bread: Place mix in large bowl, with wooden spoon, stir in beer just until flour is mixed in. Pour into greased 8 x 4 inch loaf pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until crusty and golden brown. Let stand in pan for 5 minutes; turn out onto rack. Brush top with butter. Makes 1 loaf.
