Dumplings: Spatzle

Spatzle (Little Dumplings)(Galushka)

2 eggs beaten
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter, melted

Mix the eggs, flour and water to form a smooth batter.

Drop into boiling water, taking a teaspoonful full at a time, and breaking off pieces, and flicking into the water. Cook for one or two minutes or until the little dumpling rise to the surface. Drain and keep warm until all the batter is cooked.

Pour melted butter over and toss well. Serve with the Goulash, or Paprikash.
