Cheddar and Onion Bread by pwhayes
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 tbls. butter
1/2 package dry onion soup mix
1/4 cup melted butter
24 Rhodes rolls (or other brand) thawed, but still cold
1 1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
Saute' onions in 2 tablespoons of butter until clear but not brown. Add 1/4 cup butter and onion soup mix.
Spray bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray. Cut rolls in half and dip in soup mixture. Layer in bundt pan alternating with cheddar cheese.
Continue layering until all rolls are in bundt pan. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap.
Let rise until doubled in size or until rolls reach top of pan. Do not over rise.
Preheat oven to 350.
Remove plastic wrap and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Cover with foil for last 15 minutes of baking. Remove from pan and immediately invert onto serving platter.
