Batter Beer by Sue Freeman

All Purpose Beer Batter

oil -- for frying
1 cup all-purpose flour -- unbleached
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 envelope golden onion soup mix
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup beer -- any regular beer

Mix and let sit for 10 minutes before dipping. Fry to a golden brown in a deep fryer.
